Gulf Coast Modification announces today the opening of GCM Canada, a 20,000 square foot valve modification facility in Edmonton, Alberta.
 
Gulf Coast Modification provides extensive valve modifications, cleaning, coating, inspection and testing services.  GCM is a leading provider of valve services  for the oil & gas, refining, chemical, petrochemical, power, pulp & paper and water treatment industries. Although services are provided to customers around the globe, prior to the opening of GCM Canada, all services were provided in one of three Houston, TX modification facilities.
 
This new, state of the art facility includes full scale machining, welding, NDE, assembly, and pressure testing capabilities.  Service offerings include gear operator installation, trim changes, end connection changes, seat and seal changes, pressure testing, and NDE services.
 
Commenting on the new facility Ryan Loving, President of Gulf Coast Modification said “The expansion into Alberta allows us to better serve our Canadian customers through expanded capabilities and reduced lead times.  In addition, the facility gives us access to new markets in the region that can’t be reached from Houston”.
